Public Enterprises, Healthcare, Retail and Financial Service Organizations, today must address Regulatory and Business Compliance.  Laws governing compliance are many and varied, including:  Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), HITECH, and Gramm-Leach-Bliley (GLBA).

Complying with these regulations requires the use of a host of security and storage solutions.  There are many vendors compliance-oriented solutions to choose from, including:   Web and eMail security, Backup Storage and Archiving, Identity & Access Management, Network Security and Firewalls, and Security Event Log Management (SIEM) offered as software or in a hosted SaaS environment.   Most organizations are overwhelmed by the number and complexity of technology options available to them, and many lack the IT knowledge and skills to evaluate the options, much less install and utilize them effectively.

VARs and Solution Providers can fill this void, but they too need to better understand alternative vendor solutions and acquire the skills and tools to effectively market and sell them.
